ENSURING SUCCESS FOR ALL STUDENTS

Parent-Teacher Association

PTA fall training attendees A parent-teacher association (or parent-teacher-student association) is a formal organization of community members that helps schools increase parental involvement and support. As the largest volunteer child advocacy association in the nation, National Parent Teacher Association provides parents and families with a powerful voice to speak on behalf of every child and the best tools to help their children be safe, healthy, and successful - in school and in life.

Each year, the El Paso Council PTA hosts a fall training for local members in the district. This year the training was held at Colorado Technical University. This year, a Safe to Tell representative spoke during lunch regarding the importance of the program. Marie Lavere-Wright, Board of Education president, spoke about the upcoming mill levy override and how everyone can be involved.
